Shazam In 1974, in Upstate New York. Thaddeus Sivana, a young man, is driving in a snowstorm with his father and brother. He is later transported to the Rock of Eternity. He is able to hear the voices of Sins, which are encased within stone statues. The wizard promises Thaddeus the power of the Sins if they become free. His family members, which includes his family members, including his abusive father and brother refuse to believe him. A car crash leaves his father in a state of paralysis from waist to toe and his brother, who is blamed by Thaddeus. In the present day city of Philadelphia a foster child of 14 years old Billy Batson continually runs away from foster homes to search for his mother who he separated from during a carnival 10 years ago. He hides himself in a store and utilizes the computer of two police officers to search for his mother, but it does not work. He is placed in a group home run by Victor and Rosa Vasquez, with five other foster children: Mary Bromfield, Pedro Pena, Eugene Choi, Darla Dudley, and superhero enthusiast title=”Captain Marvel Jr.”>Freddy Freeman. In school, Billy defends Freddy from bullies and is chased into the subway, where he is transported to the Rock of Eternity. The wizard selects Billy as his new champion: by calling him “Shazam”, Billy is transformed into a superhero for adults. The wizard deteriorates into dust, leaving his magical staff to be left behind. At home, Freddy is taken into Billy’s confidence and helps him explore his newfound powers, which include super strength and speed, near-invulnerability, and electricity manipulation. If he says “Shazam” again the superhero can transform into his normal body. Freddy uploads video clips of the new superhero and Billy starts skipping school to use his powers to busk to make money and gain fame, straining his friendship with Freddy. If Billy accidentally causes harm and rescues the lives of a crowd of passengers, Sivana confronts him, insisting that he give up his powers. Billy discovers that he can fly and escapes. The children of his foster parents and his siblings siblings, discover they are superheroes and assist him in searching for his mother who is living near by. Billy runs to visit her, but is disappointed to discover that she left him due to her feeling inadequate to take on the responsibility of raising the young mother who is single. She does not want him in her life.
Sivana uncovers Billy’s identity. Billy is then forced to take Billy’s foster children captive. In exchange for protection, Billy agrees that he will grant his talents and abilities to Sivana. The children go to the Rock of Eternity and use the wizard’s staff for transfer. Sivana is attacked and held hostage by children.
Billy and his siblings are hailed as superheroes. They return to the Eye and the Sins in their prisons and realize that they could use the Rock of Eternity as their superhero headquarters. Billy is open to accepting his foster siblings and parents as part of his “real family”. In superhero-like form He eats lunch with his siblings at school and is surprised to Freddy’s delight that he has added Superman.
Sivana, who is locked in a cell and is stopped by a chattering caterpillar who suggests the possibility of a partnership.
